With thirty feet of depth at the mouth of Somes Sound and wide-open spaces throughout its five-mile length, the waters beyond our private dock are ideal for vessels of all sizes. Registered guests arriving by boat will have access to boat moorings for $45/night.

Punch Bowl Parties

Get to know your fellow guests (and a few special guests we invite throughout the season) over complimentary cocktails served from traditional punch bowls each Wednesday in the Croquet Club beginning in July. There’s no better way to unwind after an eventful day and prepare for the night ahead.

Music at the Croquet Club | Open to the Public

Don’t miss out on live performances each Saturday at The Claremont Croquet Club. Imagine a powerhouse personality with an extensive song catalog and you get a rough idea of the energy and fun our musicians bring to a room. “You name it, they can play it!”

Music on the Porch

We welcome a local musician to take the stunning views on our back porch to new levels each Tuesday. Every musician brings something different to The Claremont, but the experience is always a delight for the ears as well as the soul.

Croquet Court

For 43 years, The Claremont Hotel was home to The Claremont Classic, a spirited croquet tournament where players from all over the country squared off on our three on-site courts. This tradition lives on with a single court where the stakes aren’t nearly as high and the competition is decidedly less intense.
Don Whalen joins us twice each week to offer lessons on the green.
