back porch to new levels. Every musician brings something different to The Claremont, but

For 43 years, The Claremont Hotel was home to The Claremont Classic, a spirited croquet tournament where players from all over the country squared off on our three on-site courts. This tradition lives on with a single court where the stakes aren’t nearly as high and the competition is decidedly less intense
Croquet Club Game Room
At the end of a busy day or when the weather isn’t cooperating, our expansive game room is a wonderful place to unwind and match wits. From Table Shuffleboard to Giant Scrabble, we have dozens of card, dice, and classic board games to choose from in a comfortable yet elegant space.
Lovingly tended by our Head Gardener as a source of the freshest produce possible for our restaurants and fresh flowers for our Historic Main Hotel, our on-site farm is a delightful place for an afternoon stroll. Here you’ll also find our Artist in Residence who conducts a variety of classes throughout the summer to indulge your creativity. Check with guest services to learn about the latest workshops, schedule a tour, or inquire about reserving our garden dining shed for celebrations or family gatherings of up to eight guests.
With thirty feet of depth at the mouth of Somes Sound and wide-open spaces throughout its five-mile length, the waters beyond our private dock are ideal for vessels of all sizes. Registered guests arriving by boat will have access to boat moorings for $45/night. Please note, the moorings do not include launch service, so guests will need their own dinghy to row to the dock.
We also have relationships with a host of local marina service providers.
